Mastering the Exam Questions – Part IV

Now, as you have completed the four exams, take the PMI-provided exam with 210 questions cloned from the real exam.

Note, those are the questions that PMI took from their PMP exam question bank (which consists of thousands of questions) and modified to ensure the questions are not identical to those you will see in your exam.

However, these questions are a good indicator of what you will likely see in your exam.

To be provided the 210 official PMI cloned questions you need to participate as a student in an official ATP PMP prep Course.

Finally, an optional task is to take the ITTO exam. The real PMP exam does not have direct ITTO questions. The vast majority of questions in the real PMP exam are situational. Inputs, tools, techniques, and outputs (ITTOs) are embedded as part of the scenarios. It is highly unlikely that you will be asked,

“Which of the following is an output of the XYZ process?”

Most likely, as far as ITTOs are concerned, the question will describe a scenario and then ask,

“Which of the following should the project manager update?”

Answering this question does not require memorization of the ITTOs. Rather, it requires an understanding of how different ITTOs are used in the various project management processes. Therefore, memorizing ITTOs has little to no benefit.

However, we have noticed that many students like to take the ITTO Exam as practice for various reasons. Some just want a memorization challenge, others feel they will be better prepared if they take that exam, and yet others believe that memorizing ITTOs will make them better project managers.

Whatever the reason is, Exam 5 (ITTO) is there for you to either skip or practice. The decision is yours.

Learn from your mistakes, be honest with yourself, hold a mirror up to your level of understanding, and reflect.

After working through all the knowledge stuff and practicing all those sample questions and mock exams, you are finally there ... well, almost. Proceed to the next lesson where we will discuss "how to get to the finishing line" ...
