In applying for your PMP, you will need to sign up for the PMI's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.


More than that, you are saying you are prepared to follow this code in your life as a professional project manager.


How Will PMI Test this in the Exam?

Well, they won't expect you to have memorized it.

Ethics and professional conduct will come up in situational questions; most likely in situations regarding things like:

  • relationships with team members and stakeholders
  • project governance
  • procurement and relationships with suppliers

So, whenever you are thinking about these sorts of relationships, do consider the impact of PMI's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
