How Do I Submit My PMP Application?

You’ve reached the end of the online PMP application form, and you’ve completed every section.

The only thing that remains to be done is to click to submit your form.

You should also download a copy of your application for your own records. It can be helpful to have a copy if you are audited or if you need to refer back to it in the future.

When you are happy that the information in your application form is as accurate and complete as it can be, follow the guidance on the screen to submit your form.

Read the terms and agreements. Then tick the boxes stating you agree to those terms and that all the information you have provided is accurate.

Then all you have left to do is click ‘Submit Application’ and it is on its way!


Then What?

Now, PMI will approve your application.

When they have approved it, you’ll need to pay your exam fee. Currently, this is:

  • Member Price: US$405
  • Non-Member Price: US$555
btw: This price difference is one of the reasons why you should become a PMP member at least for one year, since the saving here is even more than the member fee for the first year.

Always check your PMI account/dashboard at pmi.org for up-to-date information.

When you are approved and have paid, you can schedule your exam time, either:

  • at a testing site near you
  • online from home or work

If your application is being audited, you will receive an email with the justification if your application is rejected. Do not panic! Mostly you will just need to provide some evidence for the information you have provided. And you will have more than enough time (90 days) to fix that.
